Homestead work
In progress
We got hit twice with snow close together. The first was a bonafide blizzard.
The dog thoroughly enjoyed herself. She made clean up and snow removal fun. I'll never get tired of her trying to catch snowballs. And, then trying to either find the missed snowball, or pieces of a caught one.
The rabbits did a number on my figs. They eat the lower bark in lean times. I don't like setting out my humane trap in the cold, it's kind of inhumane to chance one freezing. I'll be attempting to rabbit proof the gardens this spring.
Yesterday was warmer, so I played in the yard. I laid cardboard and moved log rounds. My wheelbarrow, Sasha, finally broke.
Don't mind the bottles. I didn't drink them. I sourced them from a local establishment. Some will be for the new bottle cutter that I will be purchasing. Others, will be part of my anti rabbit campaign. When I redo the dead hedge for the Homestead, I still have to purchase the T posts, and enough mesh to run the length of the fig hedge. I have to collect a lot more bottles as well. When I dig the trench for the mesh, I will also use glass bottles, not worry about deterioration.
Building my business and getting my accounts straight has been a bit difficult. The stuff that I do is usually word of mouth advertisement. Recommendations, you know. I have no paper trail, and I am just starting. I don't know if there is a platform here to sell my glasswork, which is what will pay for materials to start my farming and other Homestead ventures. Any advice would be welcome. 🙏

I can't give any advice, but I can say I enjoy reading about your (ad)venture. I do wish you every success in your endeavours, and please keep posting updates on your story.
